Vintage Protectograph Check Writer

Vintage check writer , devise which leaves a written value impression in the payment amount field of a check that is very difficult to alter. This is accomplished by the machine applying downward force on the check and leaving very small inked shreds in the paper.
This protectograph features a gauge on the top to set the amount of the check, and a guard to the side which the check can be placed on. Ajhand crank turns and draws the check through the machine, with the impressions being applied. Marked to the back Todd Photographic Co., with a listing of patent dates.

Condition

Shows wear consistent with age and use.
