Antique Horse Tether Weight Mounted on Wood Plinth

Item Details

An antique horse tether weight mounted on wood plinth. The piece features a rectangular shape tapered slightly to the top with hook to the top for attachment to a tether. It is marked with raised in cast letters ‘DC’ and the number 5. Its original purpose was to tether a horse in place, effectively allowing for temporary restraint of a horse without the need of a stall or paddock. It is mounted to a natural wood plinth with rounded corners finished with casters.
