A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool room size rug. This rug begins with a star form center medallion infilled with floral elements, palmette and leaf sprays. The colors in this design include yellow, grey, sage, watermelon, navy and rose. The surrounding field is populated with floral sprays, lancet leaves and Shah Abassi pendants at each end grounded in navy and joined by layered spandrels. Borders include diamond pole designs along with samovar and sawtooth patterns. The rug finishes with overcast selvedges and short ivory fringe at each end. Unlabeled.
