A limited edition serigraph on paper titled The Disciples by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922 – 2010). This print depicts a group of stylized figures arranged in four rows in front of a wall of stained glass. It is signed, titled, and numbered ‘145/750’ by hand in graphite to the lower margins. This print is unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation. It is presented in its original Frame Gallery protective envelope and folder and is accompanied with a brief artist bio.
Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, as well as many others.
