A watercolor painting on paper of roses, signed and dated ‘’49’ by artist J. Hanselmann. This painting depicts a cluster of red flowers spreading out from the center of the painting’s lower edge in a loose ‘V’ shape, a mottled painterly ground behind them. The piece, signed and dated with text reading ‘4.Mai’ to its lower right, is matted under glass in a molded gold tone frame with a wire for hanging.

Condition

- moderate discoloration to both image and mat; minor wear to frame; tearing to backing paper at verso of frame.
