An acrylic painting on leather by New Mexico artist Erv Johnson (20th Century), appearing to be titled Maria Martinez. This painting depicts a cluster of Hopi-style pottery, a decorative red-and-black border along one edge. The work is marked with an incised signature reading ‘Erv J.’ to its lower left; it is mounted in a wooden frame with hanging wire and the artist’s business card to its verso. There is a plaque to the frame’s lower edge reading ‘Maria Martinez.’
