Vintage RCA "Sonora" Phonograph Player and Cabinet
Item Details
A vintage RCA Sonora phonograph player and cabinet. This mahogany veneered cabinet features a split rectangular top with one hinged side that opens to access the turntable and various controls. The front of the cabinet has two pull-down doors. The left has open storage and the right contains the speaker with a pieced fretwork over a panel of acoustic fabric. The piece stands on cabriole legs joined by a serpentine apron. The interior sticker identifies the phonograph as receiving the ‘highest score for tone at Panama-Pacific Exposition 1915.’
