An antique English Samuel Alcock Hill Pottery Neoclassical vase titled Faun Performing on the Double Flute in the Presence of Bacchus and Nymphs, mid 19th century. The urn features double gold tone figural swan head handles terminating in Classical masks and depicts a faun playing the flute for Bacchus and nymphs with painted light terra cotta fretwork egg and dart accents. It is marked ‘JSH’ for J.S. Hill, ‘4/3554’ in red and titled to the underside.
