Vintage Westerstrand Swedish Gilt Cartel Clock
Item Details
A vintage Westerstrand Swedish gilt Cartel clock. The clock has a hand carved wood frame with a gilded finish and a flame style finial on a rounded bonnet. The clock is surrounded by acanthus leaves in relief and a beaded bezel and glass cover that displays an antique white finish with black Arabic numbers and brass hands with two key arbors. Other features include a wood drop with carved drapery in relief and scrollwork accents on an embossed mount with an orb finial. The clock has a bell strike on the hour, a gilded and brass pendulum, a brass winding key, a Westerstrand and Toreboda brass mechanism and the clock is labeled ‘Westerstrand and Toreboda’ on the face.
