Vintage Cast Iron Alligator and Aluminum Squirrel Nutcrackers
Item Details
A pairing of vintage metal nutcrackers. Included is a cast iron alligator, molded with square scales and jagged teeth. The piece operates by lifting the top of the tail to crush a nut in the alligators mouth. It is accompanied by a cast aluminum squirrel nutcracker, operated by lifting the two halves of the curled tail to crush a nut in the hinged body. The pieces bear no discernible maker’s marks.
