Indian Saber with Brass Hilt and Red Velvet Scabbard
Item Details
An Indian saber with a brass hilt and red velvet scabbard. This sword has a curved blade etched with floral patterns, with ‘Made in India’ in English on one side of the ricasso, and Devanagari script on the other. The brass hilt bears a tiger’s head at the pommel with a curved grip and guard leading to a pointed rain guard. Also included is a red velvet scabbard with brass throat, band, and chape.
Condition
- some tarnish to brass; wear to top of scabbard; some rust and flaking to sword near hilt.
