A pair of oil paintings on canvas of rural scenes that appear to be signed ‘Carl Madden’ and ‘E. Woodson’. These works, rendered with painterly brushstrokes depict a wooded landscape blanketed with snow and ice and a weathered, wooded shack among an open field. The paintings are signed by hand to the lower margins. They are presented in bronze tone wooden framed with beige fabric liners and a metal hanging wire to the versos.

- accretions; stains to fabric liners; wear to frames.
