A mid-century oil painting on canvas by listed artist Hans Runge (1895 – 1961). The piece depicts a bucolic German village landscape in autumn, with the scene reflected in a glassy river to the foreground. The work is signed in white paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gilt finish, moulded floral embellishments and fabric liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
