A Royal Doulton Old Charley character teapot, circa 1939-1940. This character jug teapot is in the form of an older man Old Charley holding a lantern with a dark burgundy red waistcoast, red vest, blue polka dot tie and brown cap. The underside is marked ‘Old Charley’ and the base is marked ‘Royal Doulton 13 Made in England Old Charley’ with a registration number of ‘Rd No. 832782.’
