Item Details
An antique Birge, Peck, and Co. triple decker eight day clock. This 19th century clock features a flame veneer case with columnar sides and glass paneled doors with turn handle locks. The white metal clock face has black Roman numerals and floral details in the spandrels. The center reverse painted glass panel is decorated with a spray of red roses while the bottom door has a scene depicting Buckingham Palace framed in bright blue. It opens to the pendulum area. Clock is marked on the interior and there are fragments of newspaper pages glued to the back. The clock features early strap movements and includes two weights and a pendulum.
