Mid Century Modern Style Laundry Hamper by Detecto

Item Details

A circa 1950s Mid Century Modern laundry hamper, marked ‘Detecto, New York’. The padded hinged top is upholstered in a black vinyl with gold welting, opening to a vented interior. The case is framed in a metal frame with gold-tone finish, having a black painted wood paneled facade with three diamond motifs in gold and white. The sides have large ring handles in a silver-tone finish with brass rivet. The back and bottom are perforated metal in a black finish.
