An oil painting on canvas by listed American artist Alexander Brook (1898 – 1980). This painting depicts the profile portrait of a woman wearing a red shawl and flowers in her hair. It is signed by the artist to the lower right corner. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with a wire in verso for hanging.
Condition
- to good; in-painting in the upper right of the image area; in-painting in the female’s face and lower chest area; tears have been fixed in various spots around the background image; some scratches around the image area creating image loss; painting has been re-lined and re-varnished; light brown matte is stained and dirty; gold tone wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
