A Chinese ceramic lidded vessel. This ceramic cooking pot features a gilded handle atop a domed lid and a stout pot with a pair of applied loop handles. The white exterior is embellished with hand-painted floral, figural, and pastoral scenes throughout, and a poetic inscription in black. A maker’s mark is not visible.

- to fair; light residue and spotting throughout; chip to lid; significant wear to underside.
