A brass sculpture after Auguste Moreau ‘Standing Mandolin Woman’ by Hippolyte Moreau. The woman stands with a downcast expression and wears a shirt with a skirt bunched at the waist, and she holds a mandolin in one hand. On the front of the marble base is a plate that reads ‘Standing Mandolin Woman, A. Moreau’ and is signed in plate to the verso ‘H. Moreau.’

Condition

- scratches on figures arms; dust on surface; very tiny chips to marble base at the back of the piece.
