A mid 20th-century oil painting on canvas of a seascape is signed by Long. The painting depicts an ocean seascape just as a wave on the verge of breaking crashes upon the rocks. The waves are full of rich green and blue tones. It is signed in the lower left ‘Long.’ The piece is presented beneath a light tan velvet liner and slashed wood fillet and housed in a decorative gesso gold-tone and black frame. According to the information card affixed to the verso, Long was from Southern California and specialized in landscapes.
