A vintage Colonial style, mahogany slant top desk having a hinged top with a brass-plated keyhole escutcheon and key, opening to create a banded writing surface and an impressive assortment of cubbies and drawers accented with split columns, incised fans, and small turned knobs. The desk has four block-front, dovetailed drawers fitted with brass-plated batwing bail hardware. It rises up on bracket feet. Circa 1940.
