An antique Chickering harp by Oscar Schmidt in their ‘Special Niagra Model,’ produced 1894. This zither-like harp has a wooden cabinet with red and gold-toned painted details. It is labeled ‘Oscar Schmidt, Manufacturer of Chickering Harp, Patented May 29, 1894. D.G.M.P.’ and ‘Ferry St. Jersey City, N.J.’ to the interior.
