A hand blown glass sculpture by Mario Sandon. This piece is crafted with clear glass and cherry red accents. Depicted are a pair of songbirds perched aloft a full nest. These figures rest on splayed branches, accented with red flowers and additional birds. The scalloped base bears a polished pontil mark and incised signature. Sandon is an Italian artist and the brother-in-law of Alessandro and Roberto Moretti. The three artisans were professionally associated with Pilgrim Glass Company in West Virginia between c. 1950-2002.

- small crack to base near signature; minor marks and faint scratches consistent with gentle use.
