A watercolor painting on paper titled Pl. Gaillon by listed French artist Charles de Montfort (b. 1910). This colorful work depicts a road encircling a tall mostly-leafless tree, the scene scatted with figures in hats and lined by businesses with their upper windows shuttered. The painting is signed ‘De Montfort’ and titled in large letters toward its lower edge and is matted under glass in a wooden frame with hanging hardware to its verso.

- slight scuffing to frame; heavy wear to frame verso.
