An oil painting on board titled Paw Paw Bushes by listed artist Carolyn Zimmerman (Cincinnati, Ohio; b. 1903), dated 1980. The work depicts a vibrant forested territory comprised of lush trees and dense foliage. The piece is signed in paint to the lower right corner. To the verso, title, date and medium are inscribed. The work remains unframed.

Carolyn Zimmerman was born in Walton, Indiana and became the wife of prominent Cincinnati artist Carl Zimmerman. She started her formal artistic training at the Cincinnati Art Academy and studied with French sculptor and painter Antoine Bourdelle as well as Madame Levy-Ginsborg in Paris. Zimmerman body of work primarily focuses on forested landscapes. Carolyn along with her husband Carl Zimmerman were members of the Cincinnati School of Painters.
