Reed & Barton "Love Disarmed" and Other Sterling Silver Spoons

An eight-piece collection of sterling silver spoons. This includes three by Reed & Barton in the Charles A. Bennett designed Love Disarmed pattern, first introduced in 1899, which features an Art Nouveau style handle with figures, who appear to be Venus and Cupid. This is presented with five other spoons in various patterns by different makers. Manufacturers featured include International Silver Co., Baker Manchester Co., and Gorham. Most are marked ‘Sterling’ along with a maker’s mark. One spoon has a personalized engraving on the handle, and another has an engraved bowl. The total approximate weight is 4.425 ozt.

- minor to mild surface wear including marks, scratches and minimal tarnishing; personalized engravings on one bowl and one handle; major denting on one spoon’s bowl; (DCCPLS).
