A vintage George Nelson for Howard Miller floor clock. The clock is designed by George Nelson, one of the most famous Mid Century Modern designers. Nelson teamed with the Howard Miller Clock Co. to create a modern style of the classic grandfather clock. The clock has a simple modern design with a chrome metal frame that encases smoke colored lucite panels displaying the inner workings of the clock. Other features of the clock include raised, gold-tone metal hour markers to the outer lucite panel with gold-tone arrow style hands and a red sweep hand. The clock has a silver-tone pendulum and cylinder style weights on chains and stands on a square metal base. It is marked by Howard Miller in a small plaque to the front of the clock.
