A vintage oil painting on Masonite Iceland by well listed Canadian born American artist Émile Walters (1893-1977). This Impressionistic painting depicts the rugged and dramatic Icelandic landscape in moody tones of gray, blue, and brown. A distant rolling mountain range is visible under a sky filled with turbulent storm clouds. This diminutive painting is signed in red to the lower left. The piece is presented unframed and awaits your choice of presentation. The verso of this piece is signed, dated (1955) and titled by hand in paint.
