A reproduction bronze sculpture after well listed Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) titled Double Nike de Samothrace produced by the Venturi Arte Bologna foundry. The work features a cast bronze winged figure atop a marble column and a felted square base. There is an in mold inscription piece reading ‘Dali 775 VENTURI AR’ and an inscribed plate on the marble base reading ‘Dali 1973’. Included with the sculpture is a box with lining printed ‘fonderia venturi arte bologna’.

Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain to Salvador Dalí y Cusi, a lawyer and notary, and Felipa Domenech Ferres. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits a eccentricities. In 1922 Dalí enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. It was during this time that he went to Paris started interacting with Picasso, Magritte, and Miro leading to his first Surrealist phase. Dalí is best known for his Surrealist painting, drawing, photography, and sculptures. His works are housed in many private collections and museums across the globe.
