A circa 1910 handwoven Navajo rug. This antique wool rug features an eye-dazzler geometric design in red and ivory over a variegated gray field. The design incorporates serrated diamonds, crenellated comb-like motifs, hooked forms and half-diamonds. Framing the field is an ivory border containing chains of gray squares and rectangles outlined in red. Edges are finished in red on all sides. One corner has a tasseled cord. The rug comes with an appraisal, which reads, in part, ‘Possible early J.B. Moore Crystal.’ The rug is part of The Durango Collection of Navajo weavings and comes with an informational sheet about the project.

- to fair; staining, bleeding of dye.
