An oil painting on board of dancers by artist Pawel August Kontny (1923-2002). This piece features heavy impasto, attributed as incorporating oil paint with marble dust, and depicts a pair of ballet dancers in flowing white garments, moving gracefully in tandem. The piece is signed ‘P.A. Kontny’ to its lower left corner and is mounted in a slim frame with a white liner and a wire for hanging to its verso.
