An original circa 1960s production animation cel from Filmation’s The Archie Show cartoon. The piece depicts characters Archie and Moose walking in side profile through an office setting. The work was created as a hand-painted illustration on celluloid acetate, layered over a printed backdrop on paper. The unsigned cel includes a seal to the lower right that reads ‘Original Hand Painted, Production Cel, Royal Animated Art, Inc.’. It comes with a certificate of authenticity with further information about the work, listing it as ‘production cel set-up of Moose & Archie, stk-AR8561A’. It is matted and presented under plexiglass in a cream wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
