A limited edition recreation animation cel of the title character from the 1970s Filmation cartoon Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The piece depicts Sabrina flying on her ‘deluxe broom’ along with cat sidekick Salem. The work was created as a print on celluloid acetate with hand-painted embellishments, layered over a printed backdrop on paper that depicts blue skies with wispy clouds. The cel is signed by Filmation founder Lou Scheimer in black ink to the lower right and numbered to the lower left as 67 out of an edition of 125. It includes a seal to the lower right that reads ‘Original Hand Painted, Limited Edition, Royal Animated Art, Inc.’ and comes with a certificate of authenticity with further information about the work. It is double-matted in black and blue and presented under plexiglass in a black wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
