These four abstract paintings are constructed with bold brush strokes in brilliant blue over fields of softer color in red, yellow, and green. Subtle lines of black detailing complete the compositions. These four paintings are unframed and await your choice of presentation. The verso of each has a stamp from the estate of Carol J. Mathews.

Mathews, known for her colorful and expressive paintings and drawings, describes her work as follows, . . .having painted for over 25 years, it is difficult to describe my art but whimsical, abstract, and fantasy come to mind . . . After years of suffering from mental illness, Carol’s art became a crucial conduit for her internal turmoil. A portion of the proceeds from this sale will go to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
