Antique Doulton Burslem Mottoware Pottery Pitcher

Item Details

An antique Staffordshire mottoware pottery pitcher by Doulton Burlsem in the ‘Buttercup’ pattern. One side of the pitcher has a central shield painted with the motto, ‘The pleasure of doing good is the only one that never wears out.’ In blue and white, with gilt details. Printed marks on underside.

Condition

Overall good condition with some crazing and discoloration on the interior, minor wear to gilt details and a small shallow chip to underside.
