These reprints of classic literary works were published in the mid-twentieth century by the International Collectors Library of Garden City, New York; the books are bound in varying shades of brown leatherette on boards with gilt top edges, gilt cover decoration and ribbon bookmarks. The titles in this collection are The Crusades: The Flame of Islam by Harold Lamb, The Crime of Sylvestre Bonnard by Anatole France, Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert and Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
