A 1990 watercolor painting on paper by listed Maine artist M.H. Jacobs (20th-century). The piece depicts a lighthouse off the coast of Maine, surrounded by evergreens, set against blue ocean waters and blue skies with soft white clouds. The work is signed ‘M.H. Jacobs’ in black paint to the lower right and additionally signed and dated in ink to the frame backing. It is matted in pale blue and cream with an oval visual field, and presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- slight toning to paper, matting and verso; scratches and minor wear to frame.
