Armadillo Hide Handbag

Item Details

A vintage armadillo hide handbag. The bag has a dark brown, braided double shoulder strap. The bag is made from the hide of an armadillo, including the head, which sits at the top on the flap, and the arms and legs, which wrap around to the front of the bag. The armadillo hide is a dark red-brown, and the front flap of the bag is a lighter colored brown leather with whip-stitched edges. A silver tone metal twist clasp fastens the flap on the front. There is a small mirror affixed to the underside of the front flap, and the interior of the bag is lined in brown fabric. No maker’s label.
