An oil painting on board of a wooded scene by artist Victor Lawson. This Impressionist style painting depicts a calm body of water jutting up against sloped, grassy hills ended with protruding rock clusters and tall, slender trees sprouting autumnal toned leaves. To the lower left corner of the composition is a painted artist signature. The painting is presented in a gilt gesso frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- to fair; wear and loss throughout the gesso and gilt frame; wear and paint loss throughout the composition; discoloration to painting; blue paint throughout half of backing.
