1987 Chilmark Pewter Figurine "Sibyl"

A 1987 Chilmark pewter figurine titled Sibyl from the series Les Belles de Paris. The Art Nouveau style work depicts a young woman with artfully arranged hair, wearing a clinging diaphanous gown. She gently holds four calla lilies to her right hip as she gazes towards the ground where her dress swirls around her feet. The piece stands on a square green marble base which is marked to the felted bottom with a gold tone label ‘Les Belles de Paris – Sibyl – Limited Edition 495/2500 – Chilmark – 1987 Fine Pewter – USA’. The work is also marked illegibly in the surface near the edge of the gown.
