Danish Modern Teak Desk with Rear Shelving by Vald Mortensen

Item Details

A Danish Modern teak desk made by Vald Mortensen. The desk has two shallow, open spaces under the long arched apron of the front, each space over three drawers with wooden handles running the length of each drawer, along the top; the top drawers each have a simple escutcheon in the center. On the other side, the desk has an arched apron, over a shallow space above a cabinet with fold down door, flanked by an open shelf on either side. It stands on tapered legs connected front to back with straight stretchers. The ‘Vald. Mortensen / Odense Denmark’ stamp is to the underside.
