Eig-Eibar-Spain Percussion Cap Pistol

Item Details

A percussion pistol from Eig-Eibar. This piece features a polished wood chassis with a housing for the ramrod placed below the octagonal barrel. The maker’s and production marks are stamped on the top of the barrel with the production codes reading ‘65125’ and ‘10 4 H D 900 KG5 8’ respectively.

Condition

- wear, deterioration and discoloration present on the wooden portions of the pistol; various degrees of wear, rusting and oxidation present on the metal portions of the pistol; moderate to heavy fading to the production marks on the barrel; the mechanism of the pistol were not tested.
