Santons de Provence Terracotta Figurines
Item Details
A grouping of four santons habillés, figurines traditionally used for nativity scenes in the Provence region of France. Included are a depiction of a female in country dress and carrying a basket with a duck in one hand and a basket with eggs in the other. Also included is a fisherman figurine with a natural stick fishing pole in one hand and a silver fish in the other; a male figurine depicted seated on a log with two baskets of food; and a female figure seated on a log. The figurines are made of terracotta and presented dressed in traditional Provencal style fabrics.
