A Chinese Satsuma style decorative ceramic egg. This egg features two hand-painted scenes on either side depicting ornately dressed woman in a boat on the water with natural landscapes in the background and moriage details. In-between the scenes the egg is decorated with multicolored floral and foliage designed accented with moriage and gilt details. The underside is marked, ‘Made in China, Satsuma’.

Condition

- light wear to finish; some discoloration; crazing.
