An antique marine barometer by R.N. Desterro, late 19th to early 20th century. The stick-form barometer features a cylindrical, brass case with a top-mounted ring and a conforming, viewing window before an engraved, steel face. Directly below is a mahogany stem with a brass gimbal mount and a weighted base. The face is marked ‘J.J.B.L.M. / 16 22 / R.N. Desterro / Lisbon’.
