M. Stanley Oil Painting on Canvas of Baroque Cathedral Interior
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by artist M. Stanley. The piece depicts the interior of a domed Baroque European cathedral including the pews and chancel area, rendered in a palette of brown, yellow, red, blue and green hues. The work is signed ‘M. Stanley’ in brown paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with ornate moulded foliate embellishments, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- minor edge wear and scuffing to frame; dirt and accretion to surface of frame; no backing paper present.
