An oil painting on board of a rural Colonial landscape. The painting depicts a rural scene with Colonial cottage and barn in the foreground and church and house in background. It is painted in the fall season with the sunset reflecting in the stream. The painting is signed to lower right, ‘COPY’ and the signature is unclear but appears to be ‘M. L. Stayne’. It is presented in a wooden frame with roping detail and metallic gold finish and it has a wire to the back ready to hang.
