An oil painting on canvas titled Pots with Red Sunflowers by listed Oklahoma artist Kay Henderson (born 1954). This painting features a still-life of Native American style pots with red sunflowers rendered with exceptional realistic detail and vibrant hues. It is signed in paint to the lower left and titled on a plaque to the lower margin. This painting is presented without glass in a gilt wooden frame with ornate gesso moulding with an inner linen border.
Kay Henderson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and in known for her detailed western, equestrian, and Native American portraits inspired by her Native American heritage. She has won many awards and is a member of the Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painter Society (NOAPS) Signature member, International Guild of Realism, and Single Action Shooters Society (SASS).
