A pair of vintage handmade quilts. Featured is a vintage handmade Dresden Plate quilt constructed from fabric in a variety of colors and patterns. The plates have light green fabric centers and the blocks are separated by matching sashing. It is hand quilted and has a white backing with no visible maker’s mark. Also included is a hand appliqued Butterfly block quilt. The butterflies are made from a variety of fabric colors and patterns and attached to a white background with black thread blanket stitches. The quilt has pink sashing. It is hand quilted and has a white backing with no visible maker’s mark present.
Condition
- butterfly quilt has soilage; green accented quilt’s border is frayed and has pieces missing
