Classic "Rook" Rookwood Pottery Bookends

Item Details

A 1925 matching pair of Rookwood Pottery Rook bookends in dark brown glaze. The figural bookends feature a raven, or rook bird, in front of a berry bush with leaves and berries in high relief. Designed by William Purcell McDonald, and bearing an “M” monogram to back. The bookends are hallmarked to their base with the traditional Rookwood flame mark, mold number 2275 and Roman numeral date XXV (1925).
